Time Frame Past
Time Frame uses silkscreen to depict five generations of women looking through a frame. The front side is my mother at about 20 years old in front of a framed photo of her mother at the same age, who is also in front of the same frame containing a photo of her grandmother as a young woman. The images fade though they remain sharp and erect on front side of the frame.
Time Frame Future
When the Time Frame is turned around, “Time Frame Future” is revealed. This reverse side shows the same image of my mother in reverse posed erect in front of a frame with an image of her first born daughter at age 20 who is also posed in front of a photograph of her first born daughter at about the same age. The poses become more relaxed but lose their focus and as images become more colorful and abstract.
